Our Year 6 tuition service offers flexible options for students to take weekly Maths, English, or both classes during term time. These sessions are designed to cover key aspects of the national curriculum, aimed at boosting your child’s attainment. Additionally, the sessions include SATs practice questions and test techniques to ensure your child excels in their Key Stage 2 tests.
With transition in mind, our sessions are designed to build the confidence needed for a smooth move to Year 7. We focus on targeting curriculum areas that secondary teachers often identify as the weakest, ensuring your child strengthens these skills. By increasing confidence and ability in these key areas, your child will be well-prepared to enjoy secondary school and hit the ground running.
All of our Year 6 tutors are highly experienced, having successfully guided numerous Year 6 classes through SATs exams. Our wonderful team possess a rich understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and the requirements of the SATs exams. They are passionate, dedicated individuals who enjoy helping children reach their full potential and transition to secondary school with confidence.
Each child has direct access to a private chat box with their tutor at all times, ensuring quality, personal guidance. Additionally, the tutor will feedback on everything covered in that lesson via a dedicated parent WhatsApp group. When accessing our online preparation resources, your child can watch homework walkthrough videos designed to offer feedback on how to answer every question.
To reinforce the lessons taught, we provide carefully designed homework tasks that help solidify understanding of the lesson and promote independent learning. Once completed, your child will be able to check answers that will be provided or watch a homework walkthrough video. All homework can be found via the resources library which you’ll have access to all year round.
